Joining the IMA

The time to belong has never been more crucial. The IMA Board of Trustees, physician committees and staff represent your interests on many fronts and will continue to do so, but we need your support and participation.

As a student who is participating in medical training programs, we wish to extend to you an opportunity to be actively involved in the medical community through membership in the Idaho Medical Association. The IMA actively works on behalf of physicians and their practices. Our success in the areas of public health, insurance reforms, billing issues, tort reforms, reimbursement, and our opposition to special taxes on physicians and medical services enhances the practice of medicine in Idaho. In addition, we have always supported efforts to create medical education and training opportunities in Idaho.
 
Student membership in the Idaho Medical Association was made available as a result of a change in the IMA bylaws in 1996. Student participation will help us by gaining your perspective on important issues and will allow the IMA to better serve you during the crucial years of training.
 
We look forward to working for you as a student and a physician as we work together on improving the healthcare environment for patients and physicians in Idaho.
